Latest News: At FSC, we’re not only building infrastructure we’re building a more inclusive workforce.
As part of the Byford Rail Extension Project, we’ve taken a proactive approach to social impact, working closely with local job network agencies to create meaningful opportunities for Aboriginal participation and increase female representation across the project.
As of October 2024, 6.56% of the workforce identify as Aboriginal, and 11.48% of our workforce are female, contributing across a range of roles from entry level to skilled trades.
This is a particularly meaningful achievement in an industry that has traditionally been male-dominated and one we’re committed to improving even further. Our approach focuses on potential, not just prior experience, and creates pathways for those re-entering the workforce or taking their first step into civil construction.
